Our coast is one of California's environmental treasures. I hope you can join me on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Dockweiler State Beach to help preserve our coast and celebrate Earth Day efforts statewide.
Please volunteer this Earth Day at Dockweiler State Beach.
The event is in coordination with the California State Parks Foundation's statewide effort to encourage volunteers as part of its 15th Annual Earth Day Restoration and Cleanup. Volunteers are more important than ever to keep parks clean and safe for all to visit and enjoy. Since 1998, more than 76,000 volunteers have donated over 318,000 hours for park maintenance and improvements.
Please join hundreds of green-minded volunteers to repaint life guard stations, cleanup the beach and restore Dockweiler State Park.
I encourage you to join me in this significant project to help our community. For more information, please visit my website or contact the district office at 310-318-6994.
Sincerely,
TED W. LIEU
